Best Global – Standard eSIM for International Travel in 2026
Global Standard offers two Fixed allowances for longer travel: 20 GB for 60 days or 50 GB for 90 days. Its current list contains 72 destinations, including all 59 listed by Global Light plus 13 others. Check the complete route before paying more for Standard; neither Global Max nor the separate Global product includes every destination found here. We provide mobile data, not a local phone number, standard voice calls or carrier SMS.

Global Standard data plans
One Total Allowance for the Covered Journey
The checked prices are €81.76 for 20 GB/60 days and €192.39 for 50 GB/90 days. The balance is shared across use in included destinations, not renewed at each border. Global Standard currently has no Unlimited packages; a visible Unlimited tab does not establish an available offer.
The cards below let you inspect other offers. They are not the inclusion list for Standard. Verify every intended data stop in this product’s country and network panel, including a short layover if you plan to use cellular data there.
Thirteen Additional Destinations May Change the Choice
The Complete Light List Is Included
All 59 destinations currently listed by Global Light also appear in Standard. If Light covers every stop, its matching 20 GB and 50 GB options cost less.
Americas Additions
Brazil, Chile and Mexico appear in Standard but not Light. Their inclusion can matter more than the overall destination count for a journey through those stops.
Europe and Asia Additions
Gibraltar, Japan, Jordan, Montenegro, Oman and Serbia are also additions to Light’s list. Check the rest of the itinerary rather than choosing on one country alone.
Further Listed Stops
Guam, Morocco, Tanzania and Uganda complete the 13 additions. A destination listing is not a promise of service at every location within it.
names are not coverage tiers
A Larger Global List Can Still Miss Your Stop
Standard Has Greece and Isle of Man
Both appear in Standard’s list but not in the checked Global Max list. Max is therefore not a complete coverage upgrade from Standard.
Max Adds Other Destinations
Max lists 100 destinations, including 30 not in Standard, such as China, India and South Africa. A higher count does not remove the need to compare the actual itinerary.
Global Is a Separate Offer
The Global product lists 104 destinations but does not explicitly list Canary Islands, Macau or Monaco. Standard lists all three.
No Implied Speed Ranking
Light, Standard and Max are product names, not guaranteed speed levels. Network access and technology labels must be checked for the destination and selected package.
longer travel needs a complete check
Match the Route, Calendar and Data Balance
01
Write Down Every Data Stop
Compare each destination with Standard’s current list. Do not assume an unlisted territory is included through a neighbouring country.
02
Count the Days of Use
Check whether 60 or 90 days reaches the last day you need service. Read the event that starts validity before installing or enabling the profile.
03
Estimate the Whole Allowance
Include transfers, maps, messaging and larger uploads across the full trip. Crossing a border does not create another 20 GB or 50 GB balance.
04
Check Device and Hotspot Needs
Use a compatible, carrier-unlocked phone. Confirm tethering permission and restrictions before making a laptop or another traveller dependent on the package.
Confirm the data, duration, included destinations and activation terms. Do not enable the line early without understanding when validity begins.
02
Find the Installation Details
Open the instructions supplied by email or in your NoveSIM account. Keep the QR code private and available while adding the profile.
03
Install over Reliable Wi-Fi
Follow the supplied method for your exact phone. Label the new line Global Standard so it is distinguishable from other installed profiles.
04
Assign Mobile Data Deliberately
At the instructed time, select Standard for mobile data and follow its Data Roaming settings. Disable home-SIM data roaming and automatic switching if data should stay on the travel line.
05
Allow Registration and Test
In an included destination, briefly test with Wi-Fi disconnected. Keep the installed profile if there is a problem; do not delete it unless support instructs you to.

Compare Price and Validity Together
EUR prices checked on 17 October 2026. Light, Standard and Max have directly matching allowances and durations. Global’s 20 GB lasts 30 days, so it is not an equivalent 60-day offer. Recheck the live cards before purchase.

when Standard earns its higher price
Pay for Destinations You Will Actually Use
Standard costs €27.11 more than Light for 20 GB/60 days and €63.98 more for 50 GB/90 days.
If Light includes the entire journey, its matching package costs less. Standard is not automatically necessary for a long trip.
A stop such as Japan, Mexico or Morocco can make Standard relevant because it is not in the checked Light list.
Do not pay for Max on the assumption it includes every Standard destination; Greece and Isle of Man are exceptions.
Compare regional or national offers if the journey stays within a smaller coverage area.
Check existing home-plan roaming too. An additional allowance may be unnecessary for stops already covered on suitable terms.
Fixed only
No Unlimited Package Is Currently Available
Standard’s offer is the two total-data packages above. Light and Max also have no available Unlimited packages at this check. Global has separate shorter-duration and Unlimited options, but its destination list differs.
Do not interpret the Unlimited selector as a third Standard package.
Long validity does not mean unlimited data or a renewed monthly balance.
Pause background updates and cloud backup when preserving the allowance matters.
Check remaining data before a transfer rather than waiting until an essential app stops loading.
Keep tickets and accommodation details offline during network changes or coverage gaps.
route-led decisions
Three Reasons to Inspect the List Closely
Japan or Mexico after Europe
Both are Standard additions to Light. Check each European stop as well, then compare the total allowance needed across the journey.
Greece or Isle of Man
These destinations appear in Standard but not Max. The more expensive product is not automatically the suitable one for that route.
Canary Islands, Macau or Monaco
Standard explicitly lists these destinations; the separate Global product does not. That distinction concerns the checked product lists, not a claim about geographical coverage elsewhere.
It is a travel-data product for explicitly listed destinations, not every country worldwide. This Standard variant currently offers 20 GB for 60 days or 50 GB for 90 days across 72 listed destinations. No Unlimited package is currently available.
Can I use one Global eSIM in multiple countries?
Yes, within the selected product’s inclusion list and validity. Standard’s allowance is shared across those stops. Check its own list: Global, Light and Max have different coverage and are not interchangeable names.
Where can I find my eSIM QR code after purchase?
Use the details supplied by email or available in your NoveSIM account. Follow the installation method provided for your device and keep the QR code private.
When should I install my Global eSIM?
Use reliable Wi-Fi and follow the purchase instructions. Check what starts the selected package’s validity before installing or enabling the profile early. Advance installation does not guarantee immediate service at arrival.
Do I need to turn off my main SIM?
Not necessarily on a compatible dual-SIM phone. Keep calling and data settings separate, check home-carrier charges, and disable home-line data roaming and automatic switching if all data should use Standard.
Does a Global eSIM work with WhatsApp?
WhatsApp can use the data connection where service is available, normally with your existing WhatsApp number. We provide mobile data, not a local phone number, standard voice calls or carrier SMS.
Is a Global eSIM better than roaming?
Compare your home plan’s included destinations, allowance and restrictions first. Standard may suit a longer multi-stop journey, but Light costs less for matching packages if its list covers every stop. Another travel package is not always necessary.
Can I use hotspot with a Global eSIM?
Confirm permission and restrictions for the exact package before relying on tethering. Any permitted sharing uses the same Fixed balance; laptop updates and video calls can consume a substantial part of it.
choose Standard for a reason
Match the Longer Package to the Exact Itinerary
Start with the included destinations, then choose between 20 GB/60 days and 50 GB/90 days. Compare Light before paying for extra scope and inspect Max or Global only against their own lists. Once Standard fits, check the validity-start rule and prepare the compatible, unlocked phone using your supplied instructions.
