Best Global – Light eSIM for International Travel in 2026
Global Light offers a fixed data allowance for a longer journey: choose 20 GB for 60 days or 50 GB for 90 days, then check every stop against its destination list. It currently lists 59 destinations—not every country, and not the same list as our separate Global product.
We provide mobile data, not a local phone number, standard voice calls or carrier SMS. Use internet apps on a compatible, unlocked phone. Global Light can suit a multi-stop itinerary when its countries, total allowance and validity match the whole journey.

Global Light data plans
Two Fixed Allowances for Longer Travel
Compare the total data you expect to use with the number of valid days. The 50 GB option gives you more data and a longer validity period, but neither package creates a fresh allowance at each border. Read what starts validity before installing or enabling the eSIM.
Global Light currently has Fixed plans only. There are no available Unlimited options for this product. If the Unlimited tab shows no plans, compare the two Fixed packages or a different product rather than assuming an Unlimited package is included.
Use these links to compare separate offers. For Global Light coverage, use its own country and network panel above; neither a nearby product nor the word Global establishes inclusion.
A single data package can cover use across listed destinations without arranging a new purchase for each one.
More Than a Short Break
The 60- and 90-day options can fit a longer journey, provided the package’s start rule and expiry cover your dates.
A Shared Data Budget
Plan the allowance for the whole itinerary, including transfers and any permitted laptop sharing.
App-Based Communication
Keep using existing internet messaging accounts while managing telephone services on another line if needed.
Coverage differences
Light Is Not Simply a Smaller Copy of Global
59 Listed Destinations
Examples include the USA, Canada, UK, Germany, Thailand and Australia. Check your complete itinerary in the current panel rather than relying on examples.
Important Missing Stops
Japan, India, mainland China, Brazil and Mexico are not in the checked Global Light list. A route through one of them needs another coverage arrangement.
Some Different Territory Entries
Canary Islands, Macau and Monaco are explicitly listed for Light but not as separate entries in the checked Global panel. Confirm Global’s exact territorial coverage rather than inferring it from a neighbouring country.
No Automatic Speed Trade-Off
The 56 common destination entries show matching partner networks and technologies. Light should not be described as slower solely because its overall list is shorter.
How it works
Prepare One Data Line for the Included Journey
01
List Every Stop
Include places where you need data during a stopover, not just the main holiday destinations.
02
Match Data and Validity
Choose 20 GB or 50 GB only after checking the duration and the selected plan’s validity-start rule.
03
Install with Reliable Internet
Follow the supplied installation details on your compatible, carrier-unlocked phone.
04
Select It for Mobile Data
At an included destination, enable the travel data line and apply the roaming settings in your instructions.
Label the eSIM clearly so it is easy to distinguish from your home SIM or another destination plan.
02
Choose the Intended Data Line
Select Global Light when using its allowance and follow its instructions for data roaming.
03
Review Home-SIM Fallback
Disable automatic data switching and home-line data roaming if you do not intend to use home-carrier data. Calls and SMS retain that carrier’s terms.
04
Allow Network Registration
The phone needs to register on a supported local partner after a border crossing. One profile does not mean an uninterrupted connection during the transition.
05
Test Before Leaving Wi-Fi
Load a small page over mobile data. Keep the installed profile if troubleshooting is needed; do not delete it unless support instructs you to.
Two distinct products
Compare Global Light with Global Carefully
There is no identical allowance-and-validity pair between these checked offers. The 20 GB comparison has equal data but different duration and territorial coverage, so price alone does not make the products interchangeable.

EUR prices and lists checked on 16 October 2026; current offers may change. Our separate Global eSIM lists 104 destinations, including Japan, India, China, Brazil and Mexico. It also has smaller Fixed options and Unlimited periods of 1, 3, 5, 7 or 10 days. Consider it when its coverage or package size meets a need that Light does not.
For a journey staying within one region or country, also compare the relevant destination and regional plans. A longer valid period is useful only if you need it; it does not make a large bundle necessary for a short visit.
Budget the full allowance
Make 20 GB or 50 GB Work Across the Dates
Count the data-dependent days across all included stops.
Separate messages and navigation from video, cloud backup and large uploads.
Confirm hotspot permission before adding laptop use to the plan.
Use reliable Wi-Fi for entertainment downloads and system updates when practical.
Review remaining data during the trip instead of treating 60 or 90 days as unlimited usage.
What inclusion means
A Listed Destination Is Not Continuous Coverage
Local reception and speed depend on the selected plan, partner network, device and exact location.
A 5G entry is not a promise that every session uses 5G.
A country listing does not establish reception along every road, mountain route or remote excursion.
Do not treat a mobile eSIM as ship Wi-Fi or assume maritime cellular coverage.
Save essential tickets, directions and contact details offline before a journey with uncertain reception.
Decide before ordering
Which Requirement Should Drive the Choice?
Longer Route, All Stops Included
Compare Light’s total data with your expected use over 60 or 90 days. Its lower checked 20 GB price matters only when the destination list fits.
A Missing Country
Choose another product or a separate arrangement for that stop. Buying more Global Light data does not add countries.
Existing Roaming or a Local Number
Check whether home roaming already meets the need. If ordinary local telephone services matter, compare a local offer; Global Light remains data-only.
The checked Fixed options are 20 GB for 60 days and 50 GB for 90 days. There are no available Unlimited packages for this product.
Does Global Light cover every country?
No. Its current panel lists 59 destinations. Check each stop explicitly, including any transit location where you need mobile data.
Is its destination list simply a subset of Global?
No. There are 56 common destination entries. Light separately lists Canary Islands, Macau and Monaco, which do not appear as separate entries in the checked Global panel. Confirm exact territorial inclusion rather than assuming the two lists nest perfectly.
Can I use Light in Japan, India or Brazil?
Those destinations are not in the checked Global Light list. The separate Global product lists them, but you should confirm the selected package’s current coverage before purchasing.
Are the local networks different from Global?
The displayed partner networks and technologies match across all 56 common destination entries. Actual service still depends on the plan, device and local conditions; matching lists do not guarantee a particular speed.
Do I receive 20 GB again in each country?
No. The purchased Fixed allowance is shared across use in the included destinations. Plan it for the whole journey rather than resetting your estimate at every border.
Does Global Light include a telephone number?
We provide mobile data, not a local phone number, standard voice calls or carrier SMS. Internet messaging and calling apps can use the connection.
When does validity begin, and can I share data?
Check the selected package’s validity trigger and hotspot permission before purchase. Installation and the start of validity are not necessarily the same event, and tethering should not be assumed from another product’s terms.
Longer validity, specific coverage
Check the Route Before Choosing Global Light
Choose between 20 GB for 60 days and 50 GB for 90 days only after confirming the destinations and your expected data use. If a stop is missing, compare another package before departure rather than relying on the Global name.
