Every Stop, Not Just the Region

Read the supported countries list for each country and territory you need. A regional name or the word Global is not enough to establish coverage.

The Last Day You Need Data

Our current Global fixed-data plans have validity of up to 30 days. Do not assume one purchase will last for a journey of several months; check the validity start rule in your plan instructions.

Phone and Hotspot Requirements

Your phone must support eSIM and be unlocked. If a laptop or another phone will depend on your connection, check tethering permission for the selected plan before buying.

The Regional Alternative

In our current comparison, the regional offers cost less for the same fixed allowance and validity. Global’s role is wider cross-region use, not automatically the lowest price.

Compare the whole trip

Match data and validity when comparing Global with regional or country plans. A cheaper plan is only useful if it covers the stops you need.

Prepare on Wi-Fi

Read the delivered instructions and install on a reliable internet connection before departure. Check when validity begins before enabling the plan.

At a covered destination, select Global for mobile data and enable data roaming on that eSIM line as instructed.

How to Activate Your Global eSIM

01

Check Your Phone

Confirm the exact model supports eSIM and is not locked to a carrier. An eSIM-compatible model can still be unsuitable if the phone is locked.

Open Your Order Instructions

Use the QR code or installation link supplied with your purchase. Keep your instructions accessible for the next destination too.

03

Install and Label the Line

Install while online and give the eSIM a recognisable label such as Global travel. Follow the plan instructions on when to enable it.

Select Global for Mobile Data

In an included destination, enable the eSIM, choose it as your mobile-data line and turn on its data roaming. Disable automatic data switching if you want to prevent fallback to your home SIM.

Test After Each Country Change

Once the phone has registered on a supported network, turn Wi-Fi off briefly and open a web page. If data does not work, follow your setup instructions or contact support rather than deleting the eSIM.

Canary Islands and Vatican City are listed separately in Europe+ and Europe Lite, but not in the current Global list. If either matters to your trip, ask us to confirm before purchase rather than inferring coverage from Spain or Italy.

Keep the Journey Within Your Plan

  • Check countries and territories individually, including any change to your itinerary.
  • Match the validity period to your travel dates; installation and validity start are not necessarily the same event.
  • Do not treat unused data as an extension of the plan’s expiry date.
  • Keep offline booking details and essential maps for places where reception is limited.
  • Review home-SIM roaming charges before keeping that line enabled for calls or SMS.
  • For a cruise, check covered onshore stops separately; this product is not a promise of connectivity at sea.

All three appear in the current Global list. Compare one Global allowance with separate country plans for your dates and expected use; convenience and price may point to different choices.

France, Germany and Switzerland

These destinations appear in Global, Europe+ and Europe Lite. A regional plan is worth comparing first because it can cover this route at a lower price for the same allowance and validity.

Barbados and Saint Lucia

Both appear in the Caribbean offer, but neither is shown in the current Global list. Choose by confirmed destination coverage, not by the broader-sounding product name.

Does Global eSIM cover every country?
No. Our Global eSIM covers selected destinations across different regions. Check every country and territory you need in the supported countries list above, and ask us about any destination that is not explicitly listed.
Is Global cheaper than a regional eSIM?
Not automatically. In the current offers compared here, Europe+, Europe Lite, Asia, Africa and Caribbean have lower prices for matching fixed-data allowances and validity. Global may suit a cross-region route that one regional offer does not cover.
Do I get a new allowance in each country?
No. A fixed-data Global plan gives you one allowance to use across included destinations during its validity, not a fresh allowance on arrival in each country.
What does Unlimited mean for Global?
Our Global Unlimited options provide 1 GB of high-speed data where available per 24-hour period. Speeds are then reduced until the next reset. The current duration choices are 1, 3, 5, 7 and 10 days.
Will one Global plan last for several months?
The current fixed-data options have validity of up to 30 days, so do not assume one purchase covers a multi-month journey. Check the duration and validity start rule before buying, even if you expect to use very little data.
